County’s Newest Crisis Stabilization Unit Opens in Oceanside
【《We Chinese in America》Media Editor Tang Zhao, April 25, 2022】 Per County of San Diego Communications Office, a ribbon cutting ceremony in Oceanside today marks the latest milestone in the County of San Diego’s commitment to prioritizing mental health and substance use services. (Ocean image from City of Oceanside) A beautiful new community-based Crisis Stabilization Unit opened its doors, becoming the sixth CSU in the county with plans for even more in east and south San Diego. The 24-hour, 7-day a week, walk-in facility is based on a living room model and offers a kinder, gentler approach to intervention and stabilization for anyone suffering from a behavioral or mental health crisis.
