RAF sources said they were able to use Boeing RC-135W "Rivet Joint" electronic surveillance aircraft to try to intercept Russian military communications some hundreds of kilometers away, reporting back to the Defense Intelligence Agency (DI) of the UK Ministry of Defense, in conjunction with other information Speculate on Russian President Vladimir Putin's next move. The U.S. Air Force also has such reconnaissance aircraft. The RC-135W electronic reconnaissance aircraft uses sensors to obtain communications and locate the source of the signal to help map the ground battle. In theory, the team could intercept radio transmissions from troop convoys some hundreds of kilometers away, the sources said. An RAF source added that they could rely on transmitters to collect conversations from farther away. Personnel proficient in Russian intercept the content and relay the latest information back to analysts in London.
Public flight tracking sources show that RC-135W electronic surveillance aircraft have been operating intensively near Ukraine in recent months. An RAF RC-135W electronic reconnaissance plane flew over Poland on the 11th.
An RAF source said the U.S. side also uses the reconnaissance plane and considers the RC-135W electronic reconnaissance plane to be the "jewel in the crown" when it comes to gathering intelligence. "Assets like the RC-135W electronic surveillance aircraft are just one of many assets in intelligence gathering," the source said.
A team of British Ministry of Defense military information officers will be responsible for analyzing all the data collected by the RC-135W electronic reconnaissance aircraft, and they will check the Russian military plan around the clock. The team has sensitive commercial satellite data, is also able to intercept communications, and is backed by artificial intelligence, operating in "crisis" mode 24/7.
The Defense Intelligence Agency is a rarely mentioned department, with a staff of 5,000, of which two-thirds are military personnel and one-third are civilians. The expert group includes linguists, folk scientists, psychologists, geographers, and data specialists.

A Special Tasting of Red Wines of Bordeaux’s Left Bank
By
Ronald Jan, M.D.
In " The Celebrated Wines of Bordeaux” posted on February 25, 2022, on https://wechineseus.com/ , I introduced "the classification of the wines on the Left Bank" 【west side of the Gironde Estuary/Garonne River in Bordeaux】based on the price of the wines at that time. Four wines were selected as the top and were designated “First Growth”. Among the most celebrated (and most expensive) wines of the world are the wines of Bordeaux in the Southwest part of France. The 1855 classification (modified later in 1973 including Chateau Mouton-Rothschild) gave the world a ranking of First through Fifth “Growth” (or tier ranking) of the wines of Bordeaux. Of course, we are aware of these five top red Bordeaux wines that achieved the honor of “First Growth” - Chateau Latour, Chateau Lafite, Chateau Mouton-Rothschild, Chateau Margaux, and Chateau Haut Brion. But we cannot all afford these wonderful wines [some as high as $2500 / bottle for 2015 vintage]. A special tasting of red Bordeaux wines was hosted by Philip Parks and Debbie Stack. 12 wines from the “Left Bank” (West side of Gironde Estuary & Garonne River) of Bordeaux were tasted and contrasted. These 12 wines came from the same areas as the First Growth Bordeaux wines but are more affordable . Below is the evening’s program.
Wine Tasting Program [Photo Courtesy of Ronald Jan, M.D.]
The tasting order revealed characteristics of the “terroire” (climate and soil conditions). All the wines were spectacular and met expectations. From the North to the South regions on the Left Bank…
St. Estephe: more clay favoring more Merlot than usual, but the predominant grape is still Cabernet Sauvignon
Pauillac: highest elevation with gravel and excellent drainage favoring Cabernet Sauvignon…includes 3 of the 5 First Growth wines (Ch. Latour, Ch. Lafite, Ch. Mouton-Rothschild).
St. Julien: smallest production district with consistently high quality
Margaux: thinner layer of gravely soil with excellent drainage … includes 1 of the 5 First Growth wines (Ch. Margaux)
Pessac-Leognan (sic): oldest vineyards & mostly gravel located on the Northern part of Grave…includes 1 of the 5 First Growth wines (Ch. Haut Brion)
A few observations: The younger wines tended to have higher amount of alcohol and as predicted younger tannins making the wines more bitter yet with good amount of fruit. With the variation in winemaking styles, it would be wrong to generalize from the individual wines tasted. But all the wines reflected well the black fruit (blackberries, black cherry) with intense tannin and herbaceous notes and moderate acidity characteristic of Bordeaux red wines. All qualities that would pair well with that rib-eye steak with excellent fat marbling.
My favorite of the evening was the 2015 Chateau Beycheville from St. Julien.

The wine was young (7 years old) yet with good integration of flavors, it was well balanced with soft tannins and good amount of fruit, medium acid and medium plus on the length of finish. Many thanks to Debbie Stack and Philip Parks for their insights and generosity in arranging this wonderful tasting of the red wines from the West part of Bordeaux (“the Left Bank”). No doubt, this was a very unique and enjoyable wine tasting experience. .

Vice President Kamala Harris, who was visiting Poland, laughed inappropriately when answering the question of whether the United States would accept Ukrainian refugees at a joint press conference with the Polish President on the 10th. A former spokesman for Ukrainian President Zelensky said "It would be a tragedy if she were to become president,".
Harris and Polish President Andrzej Duda were asked whether the U.S. would accept Ukrainian refugees or otherwise ease the pressure on Poland's humanitarian resources; Harris and Duda looked at each other as soon as the reporter finished speaking and waited for the other to respond first. In the end, Harris said with a smile, "Okay, a friend in need is a true friend." And she couldn't stop laughing loudly.
After a seemingly joyous but awkward pause, Duda confirmed that he had asked Harrison to help expedite the consular process so Ukrainian refugees with families in the United States could come to the United States.
Harris' inappropriate smile, which quickly attracted a lot of criticism. Critics said, "This is not a topic that can be joked." Zelensky's former spokeswoman, Iuliia Mendel, responded to a tweet, "It would be a tragedy if this woman were elected president." She later deleted the tweet amid backlash from others.
"Only Harris would find it appropriate to laugh when talking about Ukrainian refugees," tweeted Benny Johnson of Turning Point USA, a conservative group. Former Trump campaign aide George Papadopoulos Said: "Harris has always been consistent with the Polish leader's live speech; she laughed weirdly; again. Talking about refugees is not a joke. Why she laughed, it's a mess."
This isn't the first time Harris has been criticized for laughing at inappropriate times. "Hold on, hold on, everyone," she said last August when she interrupted reporters about the U.S. withdrawal from Afghanistan, before giggling; that time, The View co-host Meghan McCain Comments on the tweet compared Harris to the "Batman" villain "The Joker," saying she "has some kind of real problem."
Harris said on the 10th that she understands that the unprecedented flow of refugees has brought a burden to Poland. She did not say whether the United States promised to accept a certain number of refugees, but she said that Ukrainians who are currently in the United States and whose visas are about to expire will be allowed to stay in the United States.

(We Chinese in America Media Editor Tang Zhao, March 8, 2022) The Netflix crime documentary "Tinder Hustler" tells how Israeli liar Leviev used the dating app Tinder to deceive women into paying for his luxury life and create a false rich identity. A 67-year-old man in India has also been arrested for multiple fraudulent marriages. (Image Credit: Shutterstock)
The arrest shows that this kind of cheating and cheating of money is happening endlessly all over the world. Bibhu Prakash Swain, 67, is accused of cheating at least 18 women into marrying him and stealing their property, according to AFP.
Indian police told AFP that Swan was arrested earlier this month in Bhubaneswar, India. Swain was supposed to have two more fraudulent weddings in a few weeks.
Police said Swain pretended to be a wealthy 51-year-old doctor on a dating website, targeting women in their 40s with successful careers, including divorcees and widows. Victims include lawyers, paramedics, professors and more across India.
The senior police officer told AFP that Swain's main purpose "was for their money and some sexual pleasure" and that "he was very persuasive".
The police told the "Hindustan Times" that he stored the contact information of "wives" on his mobile phone, named "Teacher's Wife", "Doctor's Wife", "Bangalore Wife", "Delhi Wife", etc., which is convenient for classified management. Swain prey are those unsuspecting women who seek security and love.
A few days after Swain got married, he would borrow money or jewelry from the "wives", saying that he was in urgent need, and then disappeared. Not sure if he has divorced any of his wives.
Swain's first marriage was in 1978, and he moved away after a quarrel with his family. In 2002, he started calling himself a doctor and persuaded another woman to marry him. The New India Express said that Swain was last married in 2020.
The police said that Swain’s self-introduction on LinkedIn was full of typos, but he always claimed to be a doctor or a professor, looking for a wife online.
The fraudulent marriage was exposed because one of the “wives” accidentally discovered that Shi Wan had at least seven "ex-wives" last year, so he informed the women of the truth one by one.
Authorities also accused Swain of defaulting on debts, amounting to about $134,000 (about 3.75 million New Taiwan dollars), and the victims included 13 banks. He was also previously arrested for introducing fake jobs to students.
